Le petit Palais

Tucked inside the Galeries La Fayette is a cosy French-style play town filled with laughter and fun. Le Petit Palais is every child’s dream come true. With every corner of the place creatively designed to cater to a child’s favourite activity there was so much to do and explore.

Translated as the little palace, EW‘s Janelle Salangsang took her adorable  one-year-old princess, Clare, to put the hot spot to the test.

Le Petit Palais

The Lowdown

We arrived to a unique and creative setting with an innovative range of play units and fun-filled activities. The colourful scene was such a welcoming atmosphere that we started off and explored the Arts Studio – every child loves paper and crayons. From flurry bits of paper to glue and glitters, we built our own tiny slipper with our own design of course. Arts and Crafts are a great means of expression to encourage children to build their imagination. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to bond with your kids and use artwork to display around the house.

Children can never say no to toys and so we checked out the soft play and toddler’s town area where our resident EW Mini member of the day dived through a sea of colourful balls and happily made her way through to the playground with interactive toys. We then checked out the Beauty Salon where little ladies can get pampered with nail art, hair braiding and face painting.

After a spot of pampering, we stopped by the mini mart to play pretend shopping and we loved that the fruits and vegetables dominated the grocery shop – this is good for the children to familiarise with the items. Heading straight to the children’s chateau we arrived to a quaint living area, kitchen, dining and bedroom area all of which are incredible for young ones to experience a real home environment that they could explore and enjoy, after all mummy doesn’t need to scrub the floor if the food mess takes over the entire kitchen.

If your little one is still buzzing with energy we recommend you visit the karaoke room and let loose with some singing and dancing skills. Maybe you’ll even discover that your little one could be a budding performer. We also spotted a multi-function room that could host up to 70 kids to celebrate birthday parties or or any other occasion.

Extra

Le Petit Palais is home to attendants that are caring and attentive. Everyone constantly assisted the children and guided them throughout their playtime and ensured they are in a safe and well-protected environment. Role-playing is such an important tool in a child’s development. And Le Petit Palais is truly a home of fun and edutainment. It uniquely redefines indoor fun with style.

Studies have showed that children learn better with academics and play mixed together. It’s not just about the A, B, Cs and 1, 2, 3s but also stimulating your kids mind. As Pulitzer- nominated author O Fred Donaldson said:”Children learn more as they play. Most importantly, in play children learn how to learn”.

Top Tip

You can also choose to play with your kids at the play area or leave them for some shopping time in the caring hands of the attendants.
