If you are one of Kylie Jenner’s 141 million Instagram followers, then you will know that she never falters when it comes to taking beauty risks. The 21-year-old is used to frequently switching up her hair, from icy-blue hair to neon wigs, she has done it all. However, this time, while on a trip to Turks and Caicos, the makeup mogul decided to leave all the crazy colours behind and try out something new.
A week ago, the mother-of-one gave us all holiday envy, when she and her closest girl pals jetted to Turks and Caicos to celebrate her new Kylie Skin Collection. The trip included a Kylie Skin custom private-jet, matching outfits and the brand’s logo plastered on everything. While the 21-year-old and her friends spent all day on the beach, Kylie took to Instagram to share pictures from her vacation with her followers.
The Caribbean holiday included lots of designer brands and a vintage Chanel swimsuit; but, what stood out the most to us was Kylie’s super-long brunette locks. Ever the trendsetter, the reality TV star gave us an alternative to flowing beach waves – a single tight braid. Now, you don’t have to worry about getting lots of sand in your hair, or the wind getting it all tangled up. The extreme plait first made an appearance on Kylie’s Instagram, paired with a Jean Paul Gaultier one-piece suit and oversized gold hoop earrings from Jacquie Aiche.

Later that evening, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians personality and her best-friend Anastasia Karanikolaou debuted matching hairstyles. With braids going down past their knees, and figure-hugging dresses, the two make friendship bracelets look like child’s play.

That wasn’t all for the super-long braid, as it made several other appearances on Kylie’s Instagram, proving to be her newest beauty obsession. While on the beach in a vintage Dior swimsuit, or when she is playing tennis in a vintage Chanel velour logo dress, there is no doubt in our minds that the extreme plait is the ultimate island-vacation accessory.
