Kim Kardashian celebrated her milestone 40th birthday back in October with a trip to a private island in French Polynesia.

At the time, the trip caused some controversy as Kardashian, her family and a number of friends were travelling amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Similarly, her post on Instagram following the trip in which she said “was “humbly reminded of how privileged my life is” didn’t go down well with some fans.

Now as the final season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians airs, it was revealed in the most recent episode that after returning from her private island birthday bash, the makeup mogul and her children contracted COVID-19.

While a recent report claimed the 40-year-old mum-of-four would have contracted the virus while she was on the trip, Kardashian labelled the allegations as false. In fact, her eldest son Saint contracted the virus while he was at school.

“False. Nobody caught Covid from the trip,” she said. “Saint was the first to have it in our family and he caught it from school from another student who tested positive first.

“I then developed symptoms and got it a few days after he coughed on me while caring for him.”

It’s revealed that Kardashian contracted COVID-19 just as she was set to take the baby bar – a one-day test given remotely in June and November which law students need to pass.

While she thought about backing out, Kardashian persevered despite feeling incredibly ill, saying she “nearly passed out” whilst doing it.

In a teaser for an upcoming episode, Kardashian revealed she failed the baby bar.

“Unfortunately, I haven’t passed yet, but I’m not giving up,” she says in the teaser.
