Ever since Kim Kardashian fell pregnant with her second child, seemingly everyone was trying to guess what the baby would be called. After North West, we had high hopes for something unusual and Kim and Kanye haven’t let us down, naming their new born Saint West.
OK, we have to admit we were rather hoping that the showbiz parents would keep it compass-based and call their new son South West, but no, perhaps a nod to his album, the Yeezus singer Kanye West and Kim Kardashian named their child Saint West.
While strange for us mere civilians, the name is actually a hit in the entertainment industry with a slew of celebrities already giving their kids the celestial name, including rocker Dave Grohl and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz.
Kim Kardashian gave birth to Saint, who weighed 8lbs 1oz, on Saturday. According to reports Kim described the delivery as the “most painful experience ever.”
Following the difficult birth, the Daily Mail says Kim is still in the US$4,000-a-night birthing suite she and Kanye chose for the birth.
