The Cuban waiter proposed with a $100,000 (Dhs360,000) marquise-cut diamond ring, nearly a year after the couple met at a café. She then took her first trip down the aisle, which later ended in a divorce, one year after the marriage. As things certainly didn’t end smoothly, Lopez eventually banished him completely and moved on to her new love with time.

While the music video ‘Love don’t cost a thing’ certainly shot off global, a certain love story brewed on set during its making. Per Diamond Hedge, the emerald cut ring was estimated to be worth six figures. However, the marriage didn’t work and it ended in a divorce a year later.

The couple was engaged for the first time in November 2002, when Ben Affleck proposed to the time love of his life with a gorgeous 6.1-carat pink diamond from Harry Winston. The ring cost a whopping amount of $2.5 million (approx. Dhs9.2 million) and became a key focus in several snapshots. The news that flooded the internet most certainly made its rounds on social media, minutes after JLO teased an “exciting announcement” on her Twitter page. Via her fan newsletter, hawk-eyed fans witnessed the gorgeous green diamond ring on her engagement ring finger.
Per Page Six, her latest ring features an 8.5-carat natural green diamond, surrounded by two white diamonds shaped like trapezoids is expected to be more than $5 million (approx Dhs18.4 million). From her famous walk down the ramp in the awe-striking Versace gown to referring to green as her “Lucky colour” in the same magazine, this piece of jewellery is certainly special.
