A party jumpsuit
While many of us will be packing away our sparkly ensembles until the next festive season, for celebrities this is the prime time of year to dazzle on the red carpet. That’s right ladies and gentleman, this month marks the start of the awards season, and many A-listers have already showcased their glamorous style.
Case and point, Jennifer Lopez has dazzled in stunning jumpsuit from her favourite designer, and Lebanese couturier, Zuhair Murad. She attended the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards gala after-party. Every inch of the outfit was pure Murad, from intricate beading, to decorative feathers and fitting silhouette.

Letting the outfit do all the talking, she kept her accessories simple by choosing a gold clutch bag and stud earrings. She added a touch of drama with her makeup, paying attention to the eyes. She elegantly swept the hair up into a neat bun, adding a chic note to an overall look.
It’s fair to say that Lopez has elevated Murad’s strong global presence to a whole new level when she said in a recent interview that the Beirut-based creative was her favourite designer:
“I discovered him years ago when I was doing a show, and I was so jet-lagged and I was up in the middle of the night watching Fashion TV, which they had in this country I was in. He had this beautiful show and I was like who is this guy?”

After that, I started using him for everything,” she continued. “He designed my last tour. We just have a great relationship; he’s a beautiful man and a beautiful designer.” She was also spotted wearing one of his fairy tale wedding gowns while filming Marry Me in New York, one of her latest projects also starring Owen Wilson and Sara Silverman.
We can’t wait to see the film, but for now Lopez is going to be busy with the awards season championing Oscar-buzzworthy film Hustlers. Can we expect more of Zuhair Murad on the red carpet? We think so.
