One of our favourite foodie spots in D3 is hosting one of its monthly conversation series, themed around Art in celebration of Dubai’s Art Week with a very special guest lined up.
The Lighthouse welcomes Christine Macel for an informal discussion with founder Hashem Montasserabout about art in the Middle East, and her longstanding position as Paris’ iconic Centre Pompidou Chief Curator.
On March 19, Macel will share her journey teaching at Ecole du Louvre in Paris to her almost two-decade long tenure as Chief Curator at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The chat will explore how Middle East artists are contributing to the global contemporary art scene and their influence on Macel and her curatorial practice.

Want to further expand your artistic mind? The restaurant will also be setting up ‘The Bookshop by The Lighthouse’. Situated alongside Art Dubai 2019’s contemporary gallery halls, the books will be on sale throughout the week and range from artist monographs and gallery publications, to lifestyle books.
