Nothing excites us more than aesthetic interiors and clean spaces.
One such office that stands out is Dubai-based fashion designer Faiza Bouguessa. Known for her eponymous label, BOUGUESSA, she’s made a mark on the Dubai fashion scene since launching in 2014.
The fashion brand is known for its soft hues and clean lines, which is echoed in the BOUGUESSA boutique and studio.
For an exclusive peek, Emirates Woman shares all our most loved elements from inside the brand’s HQ.
How long have you lived/worked in this space?
We moved into the space in March 2018.
Did you have a clear concept from the outset and which key pieces are your favourite?
I did, I started with a moodboard for the fit out and for the space and I spent months gathering the key pieces ahead of moving in. The key pieces are the Serge Mouille Wall-mounted lamp, the Edra “on the rocks” sofa, vintage pieces such as the Marcel Breuer Wassili chairs in the showroom and the Marcel Breuer Cane Chairs in our meeting room, the Cleopatra daybed by Cordmeyer in the lounge sitting area and one of my favourites, the Latifa Saeed daybed in my office from her breaded series.
Have you custom-built any bespoke pieces?
Yes, the two marble consoles which are in the showroom and in my office.
How do you think your interior reflects you/your brand?
The intensely classic furniture pieces blend with the modern aspect of the space. I tried to merge these two different eras effortlessly to create a unique space that feels comfortable and sophisticated. It is very much what I try to do with my designs.
