PCFC Hotels have released these new images ahead of the hotel’s April 18 soft opening. While it will be open through the summer, the Queen Elizabeth II won’t have its grand opening until October, The National reports.

From small standard rooms through to Captain’s Club deluxe offerings, the rooms all show some vintage charm via their port holes and furnishings. We love the look of those balconies.

The Queen Elizabeth II also features two royal suites with private conservatories and dining rooms, but those are only bookable by invitation, The National reports.

The QE2, which first set sail in 1969, was officially launched by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, and boasts Prince Charles among its passengers.

It sailed its final journey in 2008, when it was docked in Dubai’s Port Rashid.

This new phase in its life will see 12 dining options on board, full of reminders of the ship’s past. Guests will be able to the Chartroom Bar for a time-capsule experience, or try the original menu at the Queen’s Grill.

For a more contemporary vibe, the Yacht Club bar promises views of Dubai’s skyline and the kind of luxury we tend to expect here. It’s not clear which of these options will be open when, but we’re sure there’ll be plenty to explore on board.

Rooms start at around Dhs600, with deluxe rooms from Dhs900.

You’ll also be able to find an interactive museum that charts the QE2’s history on-site too, complete with artifacts and reproduced rooms. The ship’s former casino has of course been decommissioned, but it’s also been restored.

Check the hotel’s website out over here.
