His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has made an appearance at Royal Ascot in the UK.

The Crown Prince of Dubai was seen in the company of British royals, Charles, Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall as they watched some of the world’s finest racehorses compete, including one of Sheikh Hamdan’s very own.

In fact, it was a day of celebration for the Crown Prince as Godolphin – the Dubai royal family’s private Thoroughbred horseracing stable – was victorious at the St James’s Palace Stakes Group 1 flat horse race. Godolphin’s horse Coroebus, ridden by jockey William Buick, came first in the race.

His Highness shared photos celebrating the victory with the stallion, jockey and trainer Charlie Appleby. In the photos shared, the Crown Prince of Dubai is seen receiving a trophy from the Duchess of Cornwall following the horse’s victory.

Horse Baaeed and jockey Jim Crowley of Shadwell Racing – founded by the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, former Deputy Ruler of Dubai – came first in the Queen Anne Stakes Group 1.

Sheikha Hissa, Crowley and trainer William Haggas were all seen together holding trophies to celebrate the stallion’s win.

The Dubai royal family have a long-standing history in the equestrian space both at home and internationally after the family stables Godolphin was founded in 1992.
