The Lady Dior until today, continues to be one of the most iconic bags in the history of fashion.
The seventh edition of the Lady Dior Art Project returns with a series of noteworthy collections with 11 different artists from around the globe.
With each detail meticulously thought out, an array of techniques is displayed through each design as a celebration of joy and freedom.
To take a trip around the world, the Maison has collaborated with artists from around the globe over. From Egypt to the United States of America, each design blends heritage with culture to see this long-standing accessory through a different lens.
After garnering a popular reputation in the mid-’90s, the bag has been an enduring part of the brand’s history since Princess Diana made it her wardrobe staple and complemented it with her looks on several occasions.
Designed with playful adornments such as birds, pop art, an aviary-inspired interpretation and other botanical elements, each bag has a signature aesthetic closely associated with the artist.
The international artists include Brian Calvin and Alex Gardner from California, Shahra Hughes from New York, Dorothy Iannone from America, Ghada Amer from Egypt, Sara Cwynar from Canada, Minjung Kim from South Korea, Zhenya Machneva from Russia, Françoise Pétrovitch from France, Wang Yuyang from China and Bouthanya Al Muftah from Qatar.
