Huda Kattan, the founder of Huda Beauty, has made the ultimate donation this Ramadan, showing her support for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s 100 million meals initiative.

Sharing a video to her personal Instagram page, which has over two million followers, the beauty mogul announced she would be donating one million meals to the campaign.

“It’s hard to believe that in today’s world, in 2021, we’re still dealing with issues of malnutrition and that every ten seconds a child dies because of hunger,” she explained. “This initiative is so incredible and it’s just a reminder of how each and every single one of us has the power to make a change.”

She also added that she was “proud” to live in a country like the UAE, which is giving back to those less fortunate.

Last week, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the record-breaking campaign taking place during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Being one of the biggest food drive campaigns in the region, the mission was launched by Sheikh Mohammed to provide 100 million meals as part of UAE’s unwavering efforts for social change, in order to combat the key challenges faced by humanity especially amid COVID-19.

This is a huge expansion from the 10 million meals campaign which was launched last year in 2020 to help those worst hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

So far a total of more than 11.6 million meals have been donated, for more information regarding the imitative and latest updates visit 100millionmeals.ae
