Fans of simple and delicate jewellery that packs a deeper meaning will be smitten with the Floating Promise collection from MKS Jewelry.
Founder and Designer, HRH Sheikha Mariam bint Khalifa bin Saif al Nahyan, has given a symbolic promise knot a modern twist by placing the twisted rope pendant with a single diamond onto double string transparent fine polywire which makes the pendant appear as though it’s floating.
“The promise knot is a true favourite and has become a signature piece for the brand,” explains Sheikha Mariam. “Combining our essential heart symbolism which is rooted in sentimentality with the rope detailing which came from the Al Yada (the rope that connects the pearl river to the Seib on the ship, the line of trust.)”
The collection was created to support the initiative ‘Here to Listen’ born out of MKS’ love for self-expression. The pieces were created to support women with proceeds from sales going to organisations that support non-profit activities, provide funding to help female survivors of abuse, fund wellness checks, and subsidise long term therapy for healthcare workers and more.
“The floating aspect is discreet, beautiful and easily layered. We wanted this piece to become second skin so you will notice the charity special editions always float. Wearing this piece the woman is reminded of her promise, to stand up for women around the world that need a voice, even a reminder to herself to keep her voice,” she adds.
The collection consists of three pieces, the ring Dhs1,570; necklace Dhs1,700 and bracelet Dhs1,850.
