At Emirates Woman we believe in supporting local and thinking global and during these uncertain times, showing your love for Arab designers has never been more important.

Paris Fashion Week has always been a crucial time for local talent to reach a wider audience. Despite the new scheduled and many editors unable to travel to the French capital, there is a virtual way to discover and celebrate the creativity of the region.

Maison Pyramide showroom has always been on our PFW schedule and looks after some of the most exciting names in the industry, from Egyptian handbag brand Okhtein that’s loved by the like of Beyoncé, to Lebanese jewellery brand L’atelier Nawbar and couture house Azzi & Osta. This season they are going digital, allowing you to uncover SS21 collections from now until October 23.

Many are focusing on sustainability, with brands like Okhtein, founded by sisters Aya and Mounaz Abdul Raouf, who have decided to revisit older collections with handmade and sustainable designs rather than make new handbags.

If you are going to be in the city of light then stop by Arabs in Paris showroom, hosted in collaboration between the Arab Fashion Council and Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. Open from September 30 until October 5, this is a great opportunity to take a closer look at Summer 2021 collection from the likes of Lebanese brand Ecaille and Jordanian label Mada’En.

“Arab Fashion Council (AFC) has announced a new exciting project which aims to connect the Arab talents with the French fashion industry,” the platform wrote on Instagram.
