What was your favorite subject at school?

Art was always my favorite. It offered a way to express creativity and explore endless possibilities, teaching me how to see beauty in every detail and inspiring the passion that fuels my work today.

What was your first job?

My first job was at the Clinical Center Serbia, University Hospital. It was a transformative experience, where I learned discipline, precision, and the importance of dedication, qualities that still guide me in everything I do.

What brought you to Dubai?

New opportunities brought me to Dubai. Dubai was always wow, the city’s energy, diversity, and reputation as a global hub of creativity and innovation make it the perfect place to elevate my vision and push the boundaries of what’s possible. Additionally, Dubai’s status as one of the safest cities in the world creates an environment where both personal and professional aspirations can thrive, offering peace of mind and a strong sense of security.

What inspired you to enter the field of plastic surgery and take on the role of Medical Director at Aesthetics King’s College Hospital London, Dubai?

The inspiration behind entering the field of plastic surgery and taking on the role of Medical Director at Aesthetics King’s College Hospital London, Dubai, is rooted in my commitment to providing high quality care. I have always believed in doing what’s best for everyone, even if it means saying “no” to certain procedures. I carefully choose my patients and provide them with honest, thoughtful advice. I encourage them to take their time, sometimes a few days, or even a week before making decisions. Many return grateful, realizing that the initial surgical path they wanted wasn’t the right choice for them.

My approach focuses on enhancing each person’s natural beauty, rather than creating a one-size-fits-all solution. Being a plastic surgeon is not just about performing procedures, it’s about being an artist and a doctor. It’s about understanding what’s truly best for the person while maintaining integrity and humanity in every decision. I believe in highlighting the individuality of each patient. Everyone’s features are unique, and I work to ensure that they stay authentic, enhancing what makes them truly beautiful. This dedication to personalised care and authenticity has shaped my practice and approach. In my role at Aesthetics King’s College Hospital London, Dubai, I bring the same commitment to patient care and high standards, ensuring every patient receives the best possible advice and attention.

Talk us through the concept.

The concept behind my work revolves around the fusion of art and science. Initially, I considered a career in medicine because of my background, growing up in a family with 25 doctors. However, my passion for art was always present, and it led me to explore different paths like interior design, fashion, and architecture. In the end, I realised that my true calling was in aesthetic surgery because it allows me to combine my medical knowledge with my artistic passion. Aesthetic surgery, for me, is about enhancing natural beauty. I focus on helping people become the best versions of themselves, not creating unrealistic or “cookie-cutter” results. It’s important to understand the individual’s unique features and work with them to enhance their natural beauty, instead of making everyone look the same.

This perspective of personalised care and artistry is what defines my approach. The concept is not only rooted in medical expertise but in the belief that beauty is personal and unique. It’s about balancing technical precision with an artistic vision. This is why I always take a personalised, transparent approach with my patients. I listen to their concerns, guide them through the process, and make sure they fully understand the recommendations. By doing so, I create a relationship of trust, and patients appreciate honest advice, even when it means they may not proceed with a certain procedure. In the end, the goal is always to enhance their beauty in a way that aligns with their natural features.

What are the key elements of your role?

Art and beauty are at the heart of my role. From crafting unique concepts to ensuring impeccable execution, my responsibilities are about bringing ideas to life with precision and creativity. Building meaningful relationships with clients and understanding their vision is also a cornerstone of my work.

Talk us through your daily routine.

My day is pretty much like any other mom’s. My top priority is always my kids and family. I make sure they’re all set for the day, from breakfast to school or activities. Once they’re taken care of, I shift my focus to work, whether it’s my professional responsibilities or attending to my patients. It’s a balance between family and work, and I try to stay organised so I can be present in both areas. At the end of the day, it’s back to family time, making sure everyone’s needs are met before winding down.

What advice do you have for anyone looking to follow in the same footsteps?

It was not easy at all. Pursuing six years of study followed by another six years for a master’s and PhD is a lengthy process. However, if you have the passion for it, the journey becomes worthwhile. Passion truly drives you through the challenges and keeps you focused on your goal.

Tell us more about the services.

I believe in experiencing things firsthand. The best way to understand the dedication, artistry, and quality behind my work is to come and visit. Every service is thoughtfully designed to leave a lasting impression, blending innovation with a personal touch.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

“If you believe, everything is possible.” These words have always stayed with me, reminding me to dream big and trust in the power of hard work and determination.

And what is the worst?

The worst advice I’ve ever heard is to “calm down.” It’s often said in moments when you’re passionate or driven, but I believe that passion is what fuels progress. Telling someone to calm down can suppress their energy and enthusiasm. In reality, it’s that very energy and determination that leads to growth and success.

What’s the biggest challenge you have had to overcome?

Adapting to new environments and managing high expectations has been a significant challenge. However, these moments taught me resilience, the value of staying true to my vision, and the importance of growth through adversity.

What lies ahead for the brand?

The future for the brand is all about evolution and pushing boundaries. At Aesthetics King’s College Hospital London, Dubai, we are committed to continuous growth by introducing innovative concepts that not only showcase creativity but also uphold the high standards of quality we’re known for. Our goal is to keep evolving, setting new benchmarks, and creating exceptional experiences that resonate with our clients.
