Another win for modest fashion
British-Japanese designer, Hana Tajima, collaborated with Japanese retail company Uniqlo – releasing a modest collection. The conservative line features lightweight headscarves and hijab – perfect for the summer.
The young designer and the Asian casual-wear retailer first joined forces back in 2015, which made Uniqlo the first major high street company to sell hijabs. The new range collection will be part of the clothing company’s LifeWear concept – it is designed to provide the perfect balance between functional and fashionable attire. Not only that, but this is also Hana’s seventh collaboration with Uniqlo.

This Spring-Summer 19 collection is stylish, chic and fashionable, a perfect addition to every hijabi’s closet. The headscarves are made using Uniqlo signature lightweight breathable material – something that every hijabi looks for. Moreover, the colour palette for the scarves ranges from neutral to earthy tones, to match every look. On the other hand, the clothing line loose pieces, including tunics, shift dresses, skirts, and wide-legged trousers.
Also, what we have loved is that Hana included tips on how best to style them. One of the styles, included tying the headscarf into a turban.
The other styling tip was for a more regular, yet stylish hijab look.
The modest collection is available to shop online!
