Play with textures

Bring out the leathers, feathers and faux furs that are currently on the runways. Dressing for the Beach Polo is more fun and fashionable than field polo so think less Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman and more Kendall Jenner at The Met Gala for the VIP Majlis Zone at the polo, and Coachella vibes for the Shams Public Zone.

Dress to impress

Maxi, midi and off the shoulder dresses in bright colours or vintage prints look elegant, and will take you seamlessly from cheering on the teams to dancing at the after-parties.

Bring an extra layer

Although we’re used to endless sunny days, the weather is unpredictable in December so come with an extra layer that you can add as the cooler evenings set in. Draping a lightweight jacket or coat in pastel, leather or faux fur over your shoulders will keep off the chill whilst you enjoy the sporting action.

Hot to trot

Forget stomping the divots at the Beach Polo! Heels, wedges and ankle boots are super popular with our guests.

From top to bottom

This is not the event for fancy, formal headwear. Fedoras or oversized straw sun hats will keep you cool and looking chic. Try stacking bracelets, layering necklaces and if you have short hair, wear a statement earring.

 Fashion fails

Rarely do I say “what not to wear” but your favorite sports team jersey, flip-flops, or hot pants – leave these for the beach bar.

 Stand out from the crowd

I think women dress much more creatively in Dubai now, so make a fashion statement and get yourself noticed on our red carpet.
