For her Renaissance World Tour performance in Germany, Beyoncé wore Arab designer Georges Hobeika.

The Grammy-winning artist’s love affair with designers from the Arab world isn’t new, she has collaborated with names like Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad several times over the years.

This time, Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika created a custom-made catsuit for the musical Goddess. Decked in pearls, sequins and Swarovski crystals, this semi-sheer bodysuit required 260 hours of embroidery and tailoring.

“Beyoncé radiates brilliance as she graces the stage of her Renaissance World Tour concert in Cologne, Germany, adorned in a breathtaking custom-made catsuit,” said Georges Hobeika while proudly sharing his latest piece of work on social media.

As an artist, Beyoncé goes beyond her music when it comes to championing voices and issues pertaining to communities she is passionate about. In an attempt to honour Juneteenth — a federal holiday observed to commemorate the end of African American slavery, the Lemonade singer wore creations made exclusively by black designers on stage, on June 19, 2023.

All of her ensembles for the Renaissance World Tour deserve a spot in the Museum of fashion history. Evoking elements of culture and design tied with a sartorial finesse that connects with her music — a genius concept that could only be helmed by the ultimate pop culture muse of this generation, Beyoncé.
