Luxury used to be about what you owned. Today, it’s about how you feel.Energy has replaced ex- cess. Vitality has overtaken visibility. Longevity – not just living longer, but living better – has become the ultimate status symbol. And quietly, at the centre of this cultural shift, a new kind of medical destination is emerging.
In the eight years since the first NEXX Clinic opened its doors in 2019 it has built up a reputation in Canada for be- ing not a place you visit when something is wrong but rather where you go when you want everything to work better. This approach to medicine has proven to be exceedingly successful and today the brothers count five clinics in Canada. They have also expanded internationally with a new flagship in Dubai and another UAE location about to open.
NEXX Clinic represents a reimagining of modern medicine, one that finds a way to dovetail together science, aesthetics, and performance. It is preventative rather than reactive, holistic rather than fragmented, and designed for those who see health not as maintenance, but as an investment.
Dr. Yashar Tashakkor, who trained as an internal-medicine specialist and was educated at the University of British Columbia, originally envisioned a career that would follow a more traditional medical path: diagnosing disease, treating symptoms, stabilising patients. Yet along- side the rigour of clinical practice, a deeper curiosity took hold.

Why, he began to ask, does medicine wait for breakdown? Why intervene only once the body has begun to fail? And what if health could be designed, intelligently, proactively, and beautifully? That curiosity led him deep into research across an unusually wide range of disciplines, from cardiology and neurology to rheumatol- ogy and plastic and reconstructive surgery. What emerged was a single, unshakeable belief: the human body cannot be understood in isolation. Metabolism affects hormones. Hormones affect skin, mood, and cognition. Inflammation accelerates ageing. Everything is connected.
This systems-based thinking would become the intel- lectual backbone of NEXX Clinic. As Dr. Tashakkor spe- cialised further in obesity and metabolic medicine, he saw patterns repeated again and again. Chronic disease, fatigue, hormonal imbalance, accelerated ageing, so often, the root cause traced back to metabolic dysfunction. Longevity medicine, with its focus on healthspan rather than lifespan, became the natural evolution of his work. NEXX Clinic was born from this philosophy. Not as a conventional medical
practice, but as a curated ecosystem where internal medi- cine, advanced diagnostics, aesthetic medicine, IV therapy, metabolic optimisation, and regenerative treatments work in concert. Each service informs the next. Nothing is stand- alone. Nothing is superficial.

Even the spaces themselves are intentional. At NEXX Clinic, design is not decoration, it is medicine. Calming architecture, warm lighting, tactile materials, and an almost residential sense of ease are all part of the treatment plan. The nervous system responds before the first consultation begins.
The timing of NEXX’s rise is no accident. The global pandemic recalibrated priorities at every level of society, particularly among high-performing individuals ac- customed to control. Health could no longer be deferred. Immunity, energy, clarity, and resilience became non- negotiable. The brothers recognised that a new model of care was not only needed, it was inevitable. One that com- bined scientific precision with discretion, and preventative strategy with elevated experience.
Central to NEXX’s forward momentum is its focus on longevity and regenerative medicine. As science continues to unlock the biology of ageing, the brothers have positioned the clinic at the forefront of cellular-level care. Regenerative therapies, including advanced stem-cell treatments, are approached with restraint and rigour. Not as miracles, but as tools within a broader, personalised longevity strategy.

Today, NEXX Clinic has established itself as a desti- nation for those who want more from their healthcare. Its clientele includes entrepreneurs, executives, creatives, and athletes, people who understand that optimisation is cumu- lative, and that the most valuable returns are often invisible.
What ultimately sets NEXX apart is its worldview. Under the brothers leadership, health is not reduced to metrics alone, nor beauty to surface-level fixes. Instead, the two are understood as reflections of internal harmony, biology expressed outwardly. The goal: to live a healthy life filled with wellness and a beautiful world view.
