If you scrolled through TikTok in April, you would’ve seen every beauty pro testing out the heatless curls hack using one item everyone has in their wardrobes – a belt.
Fast forward to now and we are once again in need of this simple styling hack to help us beat the heat with as little damage as possible.
Easy to do and ideal for longer hair, you can either opt for a classic braid and leave it overnight, or you can apply a little styling cream and do a tight fishtail braid for quicker results.
Simply place a fabric belt or dressing gown belt on your head where you’d normally position a headband, fix with a grip and then strand by strand create a fishtail braid. Use a setting spray and then role the braid up into a bun – think Princess Leia.

We suggest giving it 10-15 minutes (depending on your hair type) before letting the bouncy curls loose. Spritz on a little bit of hairspray if you want the waves to withstand the humidity.
