The Mall of the Emirates store is under-renovation
Trends come and go, and so it is no surprise that Harvey Nichols – Dubai, home to many luxury brands is looking to up its game. The department store located in Mall of the Emirates is undergoing a makeover, one that promises to bring edginess and ‘controlled disruption’.
This change came about as the brand is looking to make their store visit much more memorable, so customers can get the full experience when visiting Harvey Nichols – Dubai. But they are not just redecorating, they will add new features, which includes Edgy Designer, a modern approach to house the Ready to Wear collection. This will allow the department store to stand out as a brand on their own, rather than just presenting curated fashion collections and beauty brand houses.
The new design will help the brand reinforce the renewed style that they have already established with their flagship stores in the United Kingdom. So we can expect a modern, fresh, playful and creative space to shop the latest Ready to Wear pieces. The makeover will combine rough and smooth surfaces, offering an almost subversive design. The new Edgy Designer department will give encompass the spirit of a fashion boutique and will be located right front and centre in the store.
The creative minds behind the makeover are Carlos Virgile and Ewald Damen, who come from London-based interior design company Virgile + Partners. They addressed the store’s remodeling saying, “Harvey Nichols DNA has always stand for innovation and creativity and the new Edgy Designer department epitomises the idea of style and playfulness present in fashion today. It breaks the mould of traditional department stores by communicating a real boutique feel, which is inspiring and incite customers curiosity to explore and enjoy.”
