Last night saw Harvey Nichols Dubai kick off the party season with their biannual fashion show showcasing A/W14 trends, at The Sofitel on the Palm.

Emirates Woman took a pew front row and were transported from the soaring Dubai temperatures to a rainy autumn evening. Cascading rain fell as models strutted down the catwalk draped in autumnal leaves and bundled up in patchwork fur, stomping knee boots, wool wrap jackets, sumptuous fur stoles and oversized python totes.
The show had us wishing for the winter months
But it was the crescendo of statement ball gowns that had our hearts beating a little faster as they made an entrance onto the rain splattered catwalk. Oscar-worthy gowns floated out thick and fast, from dreamy Oscar de la Renta to blossom printed Monique Lhuillier and barely-there nude tulle floor-sweepers.
Red-carpet worthy dresses stole the show
As the fashion show drew to an end, glamorous revellers stepped into the next room where DJs Five Five Fabulous, Reem and Natalya Kanj blasted their tunes and got the Harvey Nichols Dubai party started.
