The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to make their first public appearance together since welcoming their second child, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, back in June.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will travel to New York City this weekend at the Global Citizen Live event.
The couple will join a whole host of A-list stars at the worldwide event taking place in Central Park this Saturday to promote vaccine equity around the globe.
The 24-hour global show will be headlined by many celebrities including Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez, Sir Elton John, Lizzo, Doja Cat, Kylie Minogue and more.
In a statement from organisers of Global Citizen Live, the event will “continue [Harry and Meghan’s] urgent work with world leaders in the pursuit of global vaccine equity to end the COVID-19 pandemic for everyone, everywhere”.
The couple did appear together for the previous Global Citizen Live event, although Meghan, who was heavily pregnant at the time, made her appearance from home.
The Duke and Duchess welcomed their second child, a baby girl, back in June. The newborn’s name pays tribute to both the Queen and Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, – Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
The pair welcomed their first child, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, in May 2019, just over a year after they got married.
