We hope she is feeling better now
Lebanese songstress, Haifa Wehbe has been away from the limelight, taking a bit of a social-media break, which surprised her fans. But turns out the pop-star has been ill for a while, as rumours regarding her health have been spreading this past month. However, yesterday, the 43-year-old posted on her Instagram stories for the first time, revealing that she has been hospitalised.
The actress shared two stories with her fans, one of which showed her in a hospital room, with equipment in the background. The first story was a picture of her cheek with a lipstick stain on it, which she captioned “My Mama,” confirming that her mom has been by her side while at the hospital.
The next story was a selfie, dedicated to her 5.5 million fans on Instagram, which she captioned, “I miss you.”
The Touta singer broke her social media silence one before, during Eid, when she took to Twitter to wish her fans a Eid Mubarak. She wrote: “Eid Mubarak! I apologise for my absence and for not partaking in any series or media appearance because of a health problem, which I have been experiencing for more than a month …Keep me in your prayers, and If God is willing I will return soon. Thank God for everything.”

She later released a statement on Twitter, admitting that she got emotional with the reaction and well-wishes that she received from fans, colleagues, family and friends. She wrote, “Big thank you and lots of respect from my heart to the hospital staff – the nurses, doctors and everyone who works there.” Haifa also revealed that she is out of hospital and is back home. She also said that she tried taking pictures to update her fans, during the past week, but didn’t want them to worry because of how sick she looked.

For the past couple of years, Haifa has been a part of the Ramadan TV series race. However, this year she was missing from action, not staring in any series. But, she did make a surprise guest appearance in an episode of Ahmed Fahmy’s comedy series El-Wad Sayed El-Shahat.
