This week we chat with the founder and creative director of Dubai-based fashion brand Alaziza Official, Azza Al Suawaidi.

What was your favourite subject at school?

My favourite subject was history.

What was your first job?

Teacher.

What inspired you to go into the fashion industry?

It’s been my hobby since my childhood.

Can you talk us through the inspiration behind your brand?

I think fashion is one of the most wonderful things that makes people elegant, the amazing fabrics which attracts me and also charming designs.

What are the key elements of your role?

To search for the unique things that could not be found everywhere and to be chosen by the Emirati women

Talk us through your daily routine.

Go to school and when I’m back I take care of my family and then I start looking for the best way to complete my fashion and the market demand

What advice do you have for anyone looking to follow in the same footsteps?

I advise them to follow their dreams and passions in life.

What has been the biggest challenge you had to overcome?

The different tastes of customers and the market demands as well as the huge challenge of raising new designers.
