Keeping it in the family
After launching his jewellery line in 2019, Anwar Hadid has decided to keep things close to home, by making his eldest sister’s boyfriend, Zayn Malik, the face of the brand’s latest campaign.
The 20-year-old co-founded the unisex jewellery brand, Martyre, last year with rapper Yoni Laham, of which the model was initially the face of the line, along with Australian model Georgia Fowler.

However, taking a step back behind-the-scenes, Anwar has chosen former One Direction star and Gigi Hadid’s boyfriend to take centre stage.
“Zayn has been a friend for a long time now, and has been very supportive of the brand,” Anwar revealed to W Magazine.
The model-turned-jewellery designer is keeping things close to home in other aspects too, using photographer Alana O’Herlihy who is a close friend of his sisters’, Gigi and Bella.
“We love to create with other artists in a comfortable natural environment, and with Alana O’Herlihy it was only right to keep it friends and family for this project,” he told the magazine.
In the latest campaign for Martyre, Zayn models a series of dainty pieces from the brand in both 14-karat gold and sterling silver. The pieces include the Sinner necklace and bracelet set, some pendant necklaces and the Martyre split ring.

Prices for the brand range from Dhs 330 ($90) to Dhs 11,000 ($3000).
Zayn, 27, and Gigi, 24, reunited earlier this year after splitting in mid-2019. The couple confirmed they were officially back together last month on Instagram, with Gigi posting a sweet snap of her boyfriend on her ‘Gi’sposables’ account on Valentine’s Day.
The couple started dating back in 2015 and have been on-again, off-again ever since.
After two breakups, music video appearances, and Instagram PDA, the pair seem to be going strong, especially with Anwar choosing Zayn to lead his new jewellery campaign.
