After nearly two years of restrictions, the world is finally returning to a resemblance of complete normality pre-COVID and Michael Kors is ready for everyone to celebrate.

Showcasing his Fall/Winter 2022 collection in New York City at the iconic music venue Terminal 5 in Manhattan, the designer wanted to bring a sophisticated party vibe to his show.

With a live performance by Miguel and the show marking the fashion house’s first show to take place at night, Michael Kors celebrated the energy and the allure of the city that never sleeps.

Leading the runway looks were supermodel sisters Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid along with Precious Lee, Irina Shayk, Adut Akech, Emily Ratajkowski and more.

Reveal/Conceal was the theme of the collection, playing a balancing act game with short hemlines paired with stream-lined boots, asymmetric cuts with knitwear, cropped sweaters with relaxed tailoring and more featuring a muted colour palette of black, grey, white, camel along with pops of mustard yellow, orange and fuchsia.

The pieces are, as described by Michael himself, there to help you “make an entrance”.

“For this show, I wanted to bring the excitement and energy of a night on the town to life—because I think right now, no matter where you are, we’re all craving that,” he explained. “And the clothes are really everything you need for stepping up, stepping out and making an entrance.”

Make an entrance indeed, as we are all ready to enter back into the world and go full speed ahead.
