How to look like a BOSS
Palestinian-American sisters and supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid were among a list of incredible women who attended Variety’s Power of Women 2019 luncheon in Manhattan. The sister-duo gave us a lesson in power dressing, and we are taking notes.
Bella, actress Taraji P Henson, Bette Midler, singer Kacey Musgraves and journalist Christiane Amanpour were the five women honoured at the event. Each one of them gave a strong, compelling and emotional speech regarding social issues. Taraji discussed the suicide rates among young black people, while the 23-year-old model spoke on the fate of the Rohingya people in refugee camps in Bangladesh.
Moreover, Bete opened up about her restoration work cleaning up neighbourhoods in New York City through the organisation she founded in 1995, and the country singer talked about the importance of arts education for young people, particularly music. The CNN journalist touched upon the dangers that reporters face while uncovering truths around the world, and especially decried the use of the term “fake news” as a weapon against journalists.

At the event, Bella looked like the boss woman that she is in a bright blue caped jumpsuit, from Emilia Wickstead’s Fall-Winter 19 collection. She completed the look with snakeskin blue pumps from Jimmy Cho’s and a tight high pony-tail – you can tell she means business. The 23-year-old shared several images on her Instagram, writing, “#PowerofWomen Thank you for everything @variety! It was an honor to share why I have been so inspired by my work with @unicefusa 💙 Very grateful for the all the love and support in that room yesterday!”

Meanwhile, Gigi’s younger sister Bella radiated confidence in her chocolate brown leather ensemble. She wore a Peak Lapel Jacket, Bandeau Top and Pintuck Flared Pant in Mahogany from Rosetta Getty’s Fall 19 collection. We are obsessed with this look!
