As many local designers might have been affected by the pandemic, entrepreneur Ghizlan Guenez and Emirati jeweller Salama Khalfan have joined forces to launch a new initiative to support local brands.

The new concept entitled SAWA will provide a platform to local brands including Bouguessa, Bambah, Le Pom Pom, Shatha Essa, Dima Ayad and many more to revive the Ramadan spirit.

Both Guenez and Khalfan shared the exciting news via Instagram sharing similar messages of excitement.

“So excited to be working with my dear friend Salama Khalfan on SAWA,” Guenez said. “A platform that we created to support small and medium-sized businesses in the creative and fashion ecosystem by facilitating and enabling participation in trade shows and expos at nominal, non-profit costs.

“The pandemic has impacted everyone and this is how we’re responding.”

This pre-Ramadan exhibition is taking place from April 7 to 10, 2021 from 2pm to 10pm at Dubai’s Warehouse 83 in Alserkal Avenue with around 30 different labels including ready-to-wear, accessories, jewellery and lifestyle brands on board.
