Ladies, you’re going to need to sit down while reading this one. Galeries Lafayette Dubai has built, and opened, a giant Shoe Box concept store housing the most incredible collection of, well, you’ve guessed it, shoes!
Allegedly responding to the growing demand from its customers including GCC women, expats, and tourists (apparently we’re all major footwear fanatics) Galeries Lafayette decided to launch a shoe destination, known as the Shoe Box, located on the first floor. She spoke, they listened, they delivered – that’s pretty impressive customer service.
Dedicated exclusively to shoes, the Shoe Box is spread over 500 square metres and offers more than 400 pairs of shoes from 65 premium, casual and high-end brands such as Burberry, Karl Lagerfeld, Fratelli Rossetti, Kenzo, Casadei, in addition to Nike, Converse and Adidas.

However, the Shoe Box will also showcase up and coming brands. In fact, fashion blogger Nadya Hasan of The Fierce Diaries will be exclusively launching her collection in the hub this March.
David Cairnduff, Store Director of Galeries Lafayette Dubai, said: “Shoe Box has been created to offer our discerning customer an eclectic and complete selection of women’s shoes. Our objective is to introduce a destination for footwear in the UAE that’s based on a great line up of brands, edited styles ranging from casual to luxury and incorporates a wide variation of trends reflecting the fashion collections found in our Womenswear and Accessories areas.”

“The added interest of on-going pop-up concepts to launch new local and upcoming designers, is coherent with the market trend and will add to the interest of this unique space,” he added.
The modern concept of Shoe Box was designed by an Italian architectural firm. Floodlit by natural light, it is characterised by high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, mirrors, and sleek designs. Essentially it is the shoe box that fairy tales are made of.
