A new office has been established in the UAE dedicated to supporting those who have been frontline workers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

Launched by President Sheikh Khalifa, the Frontline Heroes Office will be a key force in highlighting the incredible work and key roles frontline workers have played during crises and emergencies.

As reported by WAM, the UAE state news agency, the initiative will acknowledge the sacrifices of frontline workers “while also looking after their needs and addressing their priorities.

The office will be based in Abu Dhabi and will be chaired by HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

As part of the initiative, a database of frontline will be established with the am of eventually running events, granting rewards and more to show appreciation for their sacrifices.
