Met Monday of 2023 is here and the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York are ready to host global celebrities at the biggest fashion gala of the year.

The theme of Met Gala 2023 is ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’, which makes the late designer’s cat/son/heir Choupette the ultimate guest of honour.

Besides the furry celebrity of the night, A-listers from across the world have arrived in New York — ready to make an appearance at the ball.

Co-chairs for 2023 include singer Dua Lipa, actor Peneolpe Cruz and tennis legend Roger Federer. Apart from the names headlining the event — the ultimate star of the show a.k.a Rihanna is also expected to return to the Met. In a sneak-peek, the Grammy-winning singer and beauty moghul shared an image of herself decked in Chanel, hinting at her presence tonight.

Gala regulars Kardashians-Jenners are all geared up to make a statement as a fashion-forward family. Indian celebrities Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone are also expected to arrive in head-turning ensembles.

Since the theme pays homage to the legacy of the legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld, his favourite muses from over the years will also be paying their respects.
