Ferrari has always insisted it would never produce a four-door car. However, that’s all now changed.
In a market where there’s demand for four-door cars, particularly SUVs, the luxury Italian car brand has adapted to its clients’ needs.
Unveiled this month, the Purosangue is the first four-door, four-wheel-drive, and four-seat vehicle from the infamous “horse” brand and has taken the motor world by storm.
With an estimated price of $400,000, this new release reflects the pure brilliance of Ferrari history updated for the new generation.
The Italian name Purosangue means “thoroughbred” in English, which couldn’t ring more true for the Ferrari brand.
Take a look inside the new Ferrari Purosangue
Featuring a beastly 6.5-litre V-12 engine that exudes 715 hp and spins up to 8,250 rpm. Torque-wise, it houses 528 pound-feet with 80% torque at only 2,100.
The whip has already cemented itself as of the fastest SUVs created, reaching a top speed of 193 in 0-60 at 3.3 seconds.
An eight-speed transmission and four-wheel drive deliver matching performance to competitors like Lamborghini’s Urus Performante, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and the Aston Martin DBX 707. The only vehicle in this set with a natural aspirated (Nonturbo) V12.
The interior has an updated concept with an infotainment screen, one for the driver and one for the passenger. Lucky buyers can choose between carbon fibre, Alcantara trims, leather, and tinted glass roof/windows are optional too.
The Purosangue will surely captivate the luxury car market. However, Ferrari has made it clear that the car is not meant to eclipse its legendary sports cars and is shying away from calling it an SUV, which outlines the car brand’s 75 years of history.
Expected to start shipping at the end of 2023, and we will be keeping our eyes peeled for it on the roads of Dubai very soon.
