FENDI prepares to make waves in Spain for summer 2023

As the summer season approaches, FENDI is thrilled to announce two exclusive projects set in Spain’s trendiest beach destinations, showcasing the launch of their new Astrology Collection starting in May 2023.

Drawing inspiration from iconic collections in the House’s archives, namely Spring/Summer 1990 and Spring/Summer 1993, alongside the visionary touch of Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear, Kim Jones, this collection embodies both FENDI’s past and present, expertly curated for the upcoming summer.

From May 30th onwards, FENDI will make its presence known in Ibiza at the vibrant Marina Botafoch, where a special temporary store spanning 60 square meters will be unveiled. Exuding a lively summer ambiance with a burst of vivid colors, this FENDI boutique will provide a unique atmosphere to showcase the complete Astrology Summer Capsule 2023.

Beginning on June 13th, the second venture will take place at the enchanting Puente Romano Resort, a charming Andalusian village-style haven where guests can revel in elevated gastronomy, experience unforgettable nightlife, and luxuriate in open-air venues along the Costa del Sol.

To celebrate the inauguration of the new three-story Puerto Banus boutique, FENDI has personalized the Chiringuito area—a chic space suffused with vibrant prints and Maison’s signature colours, reflecting in the furnishings, cushions, and textiles. Here, guests can unwind while savoring sensational drinks amidst FENDI-themed place settings, featuring zodiac-inspired red and white place mats and meticulously crafted FENDI pottery.

Adjacent to the Chiringuito, FENDI will also open a Pop-Up store, showcasing the key pieces from the new collection alongside the Maison’s iconic items. Along the beachfront, FENDI will create intimate open-air lounges adorned with pillows in various sizes and colors—ranging from striking red to sunny yellow—accented by soft beige-hued carpets. Additionally, FENDI will add its personal touch to water sports equipment, such as sailing boats, providing daring guests with thrilling new experiences.

Embracing the essence of Spain, the new FENDI boutique in Puerto Banus spans 403 square meters across three levels. It harmoniously blends indoor and outdoor spaces through two airy front windows and an upper floor adorned with a row of arches, reminiscent of FENDI’s headquarters in Rome’s Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana.

The first and second-floor windows boast elegant black wrought iron balustrades, embellished with arabesque motifs that pay homage to FENDI’s Roman heritage. Complementing the surrounding district, the boutique maintains the original aesthetic of the building, featuring a neutral white palette and a basement meticulously handcrafted with small shells, resulting in a three-dimensional and tactile effect.
