As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect all industries across the globe, the fashion industry is continuing to adapt and reinvent itself given the constraints of the virus.

This year Paris Haute Couture week is set to go ahead, but it’s set to go digital.

Per WWD, the organisation that organises the event, the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, has given the all-okay for designers for shows to run, but there will be no guests present.

“The instructions from the Paris police headquarters stipulate that there should be no public attendance, whether it is for fashion shows or any other event,” the president of the organisation, Pascal Morand, told the outlet in an interview.

While digital fashion weeks have replaced big production catwalks and presentations this season, the shows from the latest couture collections will be streamed online across various platforms due to the rising cases with a nationwide curfew being imposed in France from 18:00 – 6:00 until the foreseeable future.

The official website hautecouture.fhcm.paris is expected to live stream the collections on the social media or even the partnered platformed along with the Launchmetrics to virtually showcase the brand’s couture collections.

The process for viewing the show is fairly easy and can be viewed in the bio for the council’s Instagram account along with further details on how to register.
