From the new heels trend to the perfect little black dress and the embellished jeans you can wear to work – we answer your pressing fashion questions.
Q.) I have loads of events coming up over the next few months and need a dress that will translate for them all. I love a LBD but often find they can be quite boring. Do you have any suggestions?
A.) The best part about the LBD is its versatility, so it’s worth investing in something a little bit different than what everyone else will have, whilst still opting for a classic cut for flexibility when swapping accessories and shoes. This Christopher Kane dress is the perfect compromise. With its statement arms, simple cut and mid-length, it will suit all shapes and sizes.
Q.) Being quite tall I have always felt that the only heels appropriate for me were kitten heels. Although I enjoy my height I also don’t want to be the giant at the party. Can you help?
A.) It’s all about the midi heel. Trust us. If you opt for something in between the kitten and the sky scraper you can find some foot candy that’s just right. The best way to find the perfect pair this season, is to head to the high street where all our favourite brands are keeping things central. From sandals, to shoe boots and everything in between you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Q.) With my job I’m constantly running around and need trousers that are agile enough to get me about my day. That’s why I love a pair of good old jeans. I have seen loads of embellished pairs around and would love to invest in some myself. Where exactly should I be looking and any tips on dressing them up for work?
A.) Embellished jeans are just beginning to appear on the high street but for now you are more likely to find them in designer stores. Some of our favourites have been spotted when surfing the web on farfetch.com and in stores like Marc by Marc Jacobs. The best way to rock them is to let the embellishment do the talking and team then with a simple T-shirt of opt for a tailored blouse for a more formal look.
