They definitely saved the best until last, day three of Fashion Forward Season 7 brought a host of new trends, fresh ideas and cool concepts.
We went backstage at Three Fifty Nine, Salta and Amato with Sister’s Beauty Lounge to discover the latest hair trends; sat FROW with fashion blogger Samantha Francis, who showed us how to wear the latest emerging trend –the foot cuff; and got up close and personal with the models at the Bedouin Studios presentation…
If you didn’t get the chance to make it to day three of Fashion Forward Season 7, fear not. Here’s everything you need to know…
THREE FIFTY NINE
Forget the double braid, backstage at Three Fifty Nine it was all about the triple tidy topknots. Sister’s Beauty Lounge worked their hair magic to create three neat buns for Three Fifty Nine’s Pixelated Art theme to complement the digital prints of their latest collection.
Designer Andraya Farrag of Bedouin studios played with slinky silks to create a super fresh take on the 1990s slip trend. It’s back and it’s better…
Camouflage is one of spring/summer 2016’s emerging print trends, Andrea elevated the usually casual army style through dressy evening wear and boxy backpacks which had a high-end polish.
We went backstage at the Salta show which was inspired by Tibetans. Sister’s Beauty Lounge created multiple plaits throughout the models hair and super-fierce make-up completed the look. Let’s just say their eyebrow game was strong.
Another 1990s trend proved it wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon; the choker trend was in full force at Kage but this time it featured a zip detail update. The overall collection was made up of tailored seperates, boxy jackets and Kage’s signature printed dresses.
TREND ALERT: CUFF LOVE
Spotted on the FROW, we noticed a new trend emerging- – the foot cuff. Stylist and blogger Samantha Francis of Style is Necessity showed us how to wear it.
Sister’s Beauty Lounge used wooden sticks to wrap the models hair around creating mood and texture at Amato, which was inspired by witches and mystery.
THE GRAND FINALE
Amato did not let us down, closing Fashion Forward Season 7 with as much drama and style as we could handle.
