With a background in theatre and costume design, Lamia Asudari went on to study Fashion Print at Central Saint Martins College at the same time as working under the much missed, Alexander McQueen. In 2007, Lamia launched her own label, Asudari.
Asudari’s design philosophy lies in a trans-cultural aesthetic. Her creations are a harmonious fusion of western and eastern design using kaleidoscopic colour, hand-crafted prints, bold fabric choices and daring silhouettes.
Asudari’s distinctive colour and form concepts have earned the label much acclaim and global recognition. Recently credited in Vogue Italia, Asudari is one of the most promising emerging designers of the London fashion scene. Lamia’s designs are currently stocked at Harvey Nichols, Mahat and Maison BO-M (Saudi Arabia).
