With lockdown measures subsiding and the world taking one step closer to normality, this new destination will add to everyone’s ever-growing bucket list of must-visit hotspots.
Created to connect with mother nature, the new mountain resort entitled ‘Desert Rock’ is situated in the beautiful wadi vistas of Saudi Arabia.
This picturesque venue will allow guests to witness panoramic views of the mountain canyons and a first-hand view of the shooting stars at night. Unlike anything seen before, this hidden resort will be nestled between the mountains for an exhilarating experience.
This ambitious project is developed by The Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC), alongside the world-class architecture firm, Oppenheim Architecture.

“We wanted to create a destination that allows guests to experience Saudi Arabia’s untouched beauty. Desert Rock will provide guests with uninterrupted spectacular views while preserving the natural landscape for future generations to enjoy,” said John Pagano, CEO at TRSDC.
Being the first of its kind, the concept is the perfect amalgamation of refined architecture with nature. With over 48 villas and 12 hotel rooms, there will be a total of 60 keys amongst the vista. With its standout silhouette highlighted from a distance, the resort can be spotted from miles away.
From state-of-the-art facilities including a world-class spa and fitness centre, this destination will let guests explore the outdoors in a completely new light. As part of the experience, guests can take in the dramatic desert landscape in a modern-day layout.
Adding to the venue’s onsite range of facilities are dune buggies and site-wide activities that include stargazing and a unique dining haven for guests to dine in.
As a greener choice to limit their environmental impact, this staycation aims to achieve the highest Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification level. The onboard rainwater harvesting system will address the important issue of conserving this precious commodity.
After spending enough time indoors, the world is gearing up to feel to ta a stripped-back existence from the daily hustle, and this project comes at no better time than now.
The Desert Rock project will open for guests to visit as part of phase one of the Red Sea destination set to complete in 2023.
