It’s almost here!

If you are a resident of the UAE and have been for the past few years, then you know that there is only one thing on everyone’s mind – Expo2020. Back in November of 2017, Dubai has been announced as the host of Expo2020, beating Izmir, Turkey; Yekaterinburg, Russia and São Paulo, Brazil.

The World Fair (Expo) is a large international exhibition designed to showcase achievements of nations. The fact that it will held in the Emirates is a testament of how far the nation has come, becoming the first Middle Eastern country to host this event. Now, the wait is almost over, as the tickets for the highly anticipated exhibition have just been announced. Visitors will be to purchase their tickets by choosing from one day, three day, monthly, or season pass.

For adults aged 18 and above, a single day ticket will cost AED 120, while a three-day pass will retail at AED 260 and can be used on any three day through out the six-month exhibition. However, those aged between six to 17, along with carers of people with determination will get a 50 per cent discount. Meanwhile, people with determination will get free access to the Expo.

The Deputy chief for sales and marketing at Expo 2020 Dubai, Sanjive Khosla, said: “With less than 550 days to go before the biggest event ever to be held in the Arab region, excitement is building up fast. We aim to be a World Expo that is accessible to all and we believe the ticket prices and concessions will help us achieve that ambition.” Prices for the monthly and seasonal passes haven’t been announced yet; however, the tickets are expected to go on sale at the end of this year. Moreover, the tickets for the one and three-day passes will be available from April 2020 onwards.

Ticket holders will be granted access to all of the Expos programmes, including daily live shows and pavilions from countries around the world. So far, 192 countries have signed up to be a part of the event, which is describes as the ‘most inclusive and diverse expo to be organised’.

The excitement is real!
