After being in the works for over seven years and then being delayed by one year due to the pandemic, October 1, 2021, finally marked the official beginning of Expo 2020 Dubai.

Now, one month on, from the official opening ceremony for the mega-event, Expo 2020 Dubai has recorded more than two million visits in October.

Out of the total recorded 2.35 million visits during the global event’s first month, India was the country with the most visits. The country was then followed by Germany, France, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

According to Expo 2020’s records, over 185 nationalities have visited the global event so far.

And it appears Expo 2020 is attracting people of all ages, with over 28 per cent of visits being from those who are under 18.

While the actual number of visitors to Expo 2020 wasn’t available, it was stated that most visitors had been making multiple trips, with 53 per cent of guests holding a season pass.

The site is playing host to 200 participating pavilions – 191 of which are country pavilions – demonstrating the best of art, music, architecture, technology and culture from around the world.

Expo 2020 is a six-month-long extravaganza ending on March 31, 2022. The timings are from Saturday to Wednesday, 10am to 12am and Thursday and Friday 10am to 2am.
