If you, just like the rest of the world, have been zapped into oblivion by the addictive video-sharing platform TikTok — then you must have definitely come across the dynamic duo Twins Hadban.

The sartorially-forward brothers take twinning to the next level by wearing designer pieces from the biggest luxury brands such as Dior, Hermes, Loewe to name a few.

Now with 1.3 million followers on TikTok, fashion campaigns and front-row fashion week invites, the Emirati twins – Mohammed and Humaid Hadban – exclusively talk to Emirates Man about the business of content creation, their Ramadan dress code, and how they continue to engage and cultivate a growing social media community.

When did you start dressing the same?

We started dressing the same since we were kids. We became used to wearing the same clothes and it ended up becoming a habit. Everyone around us became used to seeing us identical and it ended up becoming an identity for us.

Which one of you started getting into fashion first?

We started at the same time when we were kids.

Does your personal wardrobe transition during Ramadan? If so, how would you describe your style.

During Ramadan, we tend to keep it very traditional by wearing the Emirati Kandura with a Hamdaniyah Ghutr. We then add some accessories, such as a pen or a watch.

As we’ve seen on #WhatToWear, modesty is key when it comes to dressing for Ramadan, but how can one constantly innovate within this sphere?

Dressing modestly can provide an opportunity to be creative and innovative with fashion and it can help you to think outside the box and find new ways to express your personal style.

And with the rise of modest fashion in recent years, there are now more options than ever for finding trendy pieces that are modest. For example, you can experiment with different textures and patterns, and even incorporate both traditional and modern wear — which can also add interest and depth to a modest outfit. And don’t be afraid to mix and match different styles and influences to create a look that is uniquely your own.

What are some of your fondest Ramadan memories?

One of the moments and memories that are closest to our hearts, is the gathering of families and friends at Iftar time, waiting for Athan.

You have over 1.3 million followers on TikTok – how does that feel? What do you feel is unique about the TikTok community?

It’s not only about having 1.3 million followers, they are our community and feel like our extended family — which is growing everyday. We love how the TikTok community is about bonding over shared interests, discovering new ones and is about adding value to others.

When was the point you realized you made it?

Since the start of our career on social media and as creators, we felt blessings from everyone around us. But, there was one event which we felt really changed our careers, which was the Dior fashion show in London, which was a dream for us.

What types of content do well for you and how do you ensure community engagement during this period?

When we create content, we like to show our followers the small details in our daily routine, such as what we will wear today, which country we will travel to, or what products we use or think are the best.

Content creation is a business. How difficult or easy is the creative process that goes behind every post?

We really enjoy content creation and we try to make it as easy as possible — from choosing clothes and places to ideas. The duration of the process differs depending on the type of content we are creating, sometimes it takes minutes and sometimes it takes hours.

Where do you get the creativity and inspiration from?

We find our inspiration from other content creators and celebrities from around the world. We then build ideas accordingly.

What advice would you like to give to those looking to follow the same career path?

The most important thing in content creation is continuity, quality and adding personal touches, which makes the content unique.
