Indian actress and Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan spoke with Emirates Woman to share her most exclusive beauty secrets, hair care tips, what she loves about Dubai and more at the opening of the Mane Bar by Fable and Mane.
Launched at the Al Serkal Avenue, the Mane bar was inaugurated by Fable and Mane’s brand ambassador Kareena Kapoor Khan. Wearing an elegant Rahul Mishra gown, the actress graced the event with her unmatchable aura.
In an exclusive rapid fire style interview with Emirates Woman, here’s what Kareena Kapoor had to say:
Your favorite thing about Fable and Mane?
I think it’s rooted in tradition. So for me, it’s like an instant connect, which I really love, and the fact that India is going to the world, and we’re bringing India to the world and across the world, I think that’s something. That’s what Fable and Maine absolutely love through old school traditions.
Must-have product from their collection?
Well, I definitely think it would be the MahaMane hair oil. It’s more like a post-wash kind of hair oil, which I love, and I carry with me everywhere.
What does “hair wellness” mean to you?
I think regular massages, using the hair oils, looking after it. And especially for an actor like me, who kind of is in the sun all the time, or we use a lot of products, I think using the hair oil that we have at Fable and Mane, the Holy Roots one, it’ll do wonders.
Your non-negotiable beauty tip, no matter how tired you are?
No matter how tired you are, no matter what, I always remove my makeup, even if it’s like three, four o’clock in the morning. I think it’s nice to have a clean face and then nice, kind of lukewarm water after you use a nice oil or some sort of a balm to remove your makeup, and then just a nice wash. I think that’s a must.
Skincare or makeup?
It’s tough because I think somehow it’s really related; skin and makeup. Makeup is on the skin. So I think you have to look after your skin first.

One haircare step you never skip?
Well, I think a good shampoo and a great conditioner is something, because we girls love washing our hair, and we have to wash our hair every alternate day, if not every two days, I would say every alternate day. So good shampoo with a great conditioner.
Favorite haircare ingredient?
Well, for hair, it would definitely be amla.
On a day off, you’re most likely to be found…?
Bed.
Favorite thing to do in Dubai?
Oh, well, I think it would definitely be a lot of shopping, because Dubai is known for its shopping, and also it’s so close to home, so it’s a quick flight away for us from Mumbai. So it’s always like it feels like coming back home to Dubai.
Shopping or sightseeing?
Shopping.
The one thing you always pack for Dubai?
Sunglasses, because it’s hot.
One thing you’d like to tell to Emirates Woman’s readers?
I think what I’d like to tell all the readers is that women love to look after their hair. It’s really important, because somehow it adds to so much of like confidence and beauty. So looking after your hair is something that we should never neglect. And always have a good shampoo, a good conditioner, good dry shampoo with you.
