When it came to choosing Emirates Woman‘s first ever Woman Of The Week, there was really only one contender: the multiple award-winning, hot DJ-dating, megastar-packed music video releasing Taylor Swift.
Taylor is winning at life this week, after scooping eight trophies in one night at the Billboard Music Awards, including best artist and best album for 1989. She also used the occasion to make her first public appearance with new boyfriend Calvin Harris, who spent the evening glued to her side. Apart from when she was on stage making acceptance speeches, that is.

If that wasn’t enough, Taylor finally dropped the action-flick inspired video for her latest single Bad Blood, which has been racking up YouTube views by the million ever since. The singer persuaded famous pals including Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid and Hailee Steinfeld to star alongside her in the video – even Cindy Crawford makes an appearance as a leather catsuit-clad ‘Headmistress’. Obsessed? Us too.

The icing on our Woman Of The Week’s already sizeable cake came when Taylor Swift topped Maxim’s annual Hot 100 list. Taylor used the accolade to tell the reformed lads’ mag, which described her as “dazzling, self assured and ferociously talented”, her thoughts on misogyny and why she is embracing feminism. Even in the charmed life of the music industry’s golden girl, this has been a week to remember.
