Dubai Fashion Week concluded its Autumn/Winter 24/25 edition on day 5 with a flourish, presenting promising fashion displays that solidified Dubai’s standing as a global fashion capital.
The final day of the event featured standout performances from BLSSD, Adolfo Domínguez, and Designers & Us, along with insightful discussions at Threads Talk 2.0, exploring the current and future landscape of the fashion industry.
BLSSD
BLSSD, the newest member of DFW, made a debut with its Autumn/Winter ‘NOT 2.0’ collection. The Lebanese-born label captivated audiences with a unique ‘backstage’ experiential warehouse presentation, offering a glimpse into the fashion week action as models prepared and posed for a captivating photoshoot. The collection continued BLSSD’s tradition of daring design, blending minimalist influences with glamorous elements and streetwear aesthetics, showcasing broad-shouldered blazers, parachute balloon dresses, and exposed shoulder pads.
Adolfo Domínguez
Adolfo Domínguez, the globally renowned Spanish fashion house, made its DFW runway debut with the unveiling of its Spring/Summer 2024 collection, ‘Intuición: Beyond the Senses.’ Departing from conventional contemporary fashion, the collection embraced spontaneity and freshness with neutral tones, lightweight fabrics, and elegant silhouettes. Each piece seamlessly transitioned from day to night, embodying the brand’s commitment to sustainability and timeless sophistication.
Designers & Us
Closing the Autumn/Winter edition of DFW was Designers & Us with their ‘Enlight’ collection, a fusion of mystical energy and style aimed at resonating with a deeper, spiritual dimension. Seven designers came together to interpret the seven chakras of the human body, infusing each design with the unique energy of its corresponding chakra. From the fiery creativity of the Sacral Chakra to the tranquil blues of the Throat Chakra, each creation reflected power, vitality, and emotion, exploring the spiritual realms within.
