As one of the region’s biggest haute horology events makes its way to the region, the intricacies of time is beautifully depicted through Dubai Watch Week 2021.
Founded by watch retailer Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons in 2015, this mega watch event provides inciteful information into celebrating watchmaking here in the Middle East and is all set to begin this week.
With it being one of the most prestigious occasions, Emirates Woman has curated a list of everything to know about Dubai Watch Week.
Theme
This year’s theme is centred around ‘Connecting, Creating and Celebrating’. From limited-edition watches to innovative technologies, visitors can expect to share information to build connections, build communities and pay homage to the art of watchmaking.

The spectacular event is all set to take place at The Gate exhibition hall in Dubai International Financial Centre.
Dates & Timings
The dates are from November 24 to 28, 2021. It takes place from Wednesday to Sunday from 9 am to 10 pm.
Brands
A myriad of renowned watch brands will be participating in this horology event. The brands showcasing their pieces will include, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Hublot, Breitling, Bell & Ross, Armin Strom, Bvlgari, Chopard, Corum, Frederique Constant, Genus, Jacob & Co., Laurent Ferrier, Oris, Reservoir, Montblanc, Purnell, Bvlgari, Hublot, Tudor and more.
Activations
Several masterclasses will take place and inciteful watch-related discussions to delve deeper into the concept. Between November 24 to 28, 2021, a masterclass entitled ‘Drawing with Light’ will take place from 12:30pm to 1:30pm, where the audience will have an opportunity to experiment with printmaking as a tool and translate that into horological designs. Another workshop set to take place is ‘Become an expert watchmaker’, where guests will have a chance to understand the mechanical movement of the watch through disassembling and analysing from 6:30pm to 7:30pm on November 26, 2021. There will be a host of other masterclasses and talks where the entire schedule can be accessed here.

Several notable personalities shall be hosting talks including Hind Seddiqi, Director General of Dubai Watch Week, François-Henry Bennahmias, CEO of Audemars Piguet, Fabrizio Buonamassa, Design Centre Director of Bvlgari and other keynote speakers who shall share their love for watchmaking.
