Proudly Arab

Our inner magpie loves discovering new gems, even more so when they come from local designers.

Celebrating Arab heritage through their unique individual creations, four Emirati jewellery brands are showcasing their pieces at a pop-up in Dubai.

Brands Aisha Baker, Five 2, Gafla and Shamsa Alabbar have taken residency inside Kulture House – creative hub with it’s cafe, a gallery, flower shop and retail space – until the end of the month.

Aisha Baker founded the Dubai-based brand with Hoonik Chang with an aim to bring some magic to your jewellery box with their fairy-tale inspired pieces. Think colourful stones, rainbow earrings and comical designs.

Using gold, diamonds and semi-precious stones, Five 2 clearly like to have fun with jewellery. The design duo focus on the moon and stars in a majority of their collections as well as personalisation.

Gafla celebrates Emirati heritage in a contemporary way. The Dubai-based brand reinvents the countless stories and symbols of Arabian traditions, creating unique jewels that have an international appeal.

Those who are looking for something a little more edgy with a geometric design aesthetic, Shamsa Alabbar is an experimental line based on Arabic typography. We are especially smitten with the Kaaba cube necklaces.
