IN PARTNERSHIP: As fashion weeks around the globe adopt the digital format, fashion retailer SHEIN hosted its first virtual runway show.

A stylish celebration of diversity, it starred Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Stefflon Don and SHY’M alongside prominent influencers from the region such as Noha Nabil, Farah Alhady, Hanadi Alkanderi and Rawan Bin Hussain. Available to view via the SHEIN App, #WalkYourWonderful has become a hub for all fashion lovers as it highlighted inclusivity through five key collections.

The Classic Bohemian collection that blended tough girl tailoring with the airiness of summer dressing. Suiting was accented with frills while the dresses remained short and body-hugging. If you’re a fan of flowy blousons and exaggerated sleeves, then this collection is for you.

Urbanites with a taste for a minimal colour palette and a simple print can create their perfect workwear wardrobe with the Modern City collection. Standout pieces include Elongated belted blazers and soft beige draped blouse styled with matching trousers – a contemporary take on tonal dressing.

The dreamers among us will be smitten with the Renaissance Romance collection that packs feminine touches through its wide selection of silky and brocade textures. But the range is far from girly, the power shoulders, leather and statement accessories will make you feel like a superwoman in any situation.

The digital extravaganza kicked off with influencers posting their “walk” to their social channels to start the challenge. Each clip was synced into SHEIN’s live stream for viewers to discover and be inspired by.

Not only did the virtual escape mark everything we love about the diverse fashion scene, but #WalkYourWonderful supports several key organisations that aim to support women such as Dress for Success – a global not-for-profit platform that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing them with professional attire. And also the Pink Caravan, a pan-UAE breast cancer awareness initiative that falls under Friends of Cancer Patients’ for early detection of cancer. SHEIN will donate $1 (approximately Dhs4) to Dress for Success for every item of clothing sold for one month from September 19 to October 19 and a portion of sales to the Pink Caravan.
