Will they be visiting soon?
It is the festive season and in spirit of the holidays, TV host Ellen DeGeneres decided to surprise her guests with a trip to the capital, Abu Dhabi.
In the latest episode of her hit daytime talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the comedian teamed up with her friend, Jennifer Aniston for an epic giveaway. The giving special started off with the Friends star giving the audience gift cards, an at-home rowing machine and luggage.
After surprising the guests with the somewhat random gifts, Ellen said: “They have all those stuff, but they have nowhere to go,” to which Jennifer replied saying: “You know what Ellen? I think we should send them someplace exotic.”
“There’s an island called Yas where you can ride the fastest rollercoaster at Ferrari World, catch a wave at Yas Waterworld and meet your favourite characters at Warner Bros World,” Aniston continued to the excited cheers of the audience members. “They’re going to fly there on Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE.”
The audience clearly loved the surprise as they erupted in cheers and screams, after which the 61-year-old host gave more details of the trip. “You’re all getting park tickets, air fare and a six-day trip to Abu Dhabi everybody.” If this wasn’t great enough, Ellen also turns to Jennifer to reveal that the two of them will be coming to the capital too – we can’t wait!!

This is not the first time that the renowned comedian shouts-out the UAE on her hit show. Back in 2017, Ellen surprised her guests with a trip to Dubai, specifically Atlantis in The Palm. She described it by saying:”I’ve been there, I love it, I’m talking about Dubai. Let me tell you about this amazing place,” she said. “It is a melting pot of cultures with over 200 nationalities living there and they are welcoming to all. There is so much to do, the nightlife is insane.”
