Hot off the runway
Dressing from the feet up is not a new concept, but it’s one that team EW likes to apply on those “I don’t know what to wear days”. Once you find the perfect shoe, the rest comes easy. Taking that theory forward, we have zoomed in on the Autumn/Winter 2020 runways to pick out some of our favourite styles that we can’t wait to decorate our feet with.
We’re happy to report that strappy sandals won’t be going anywhere, which is great news for us living in a hotter climate. For boots, over-the-knee is the way to go, while the chunky versions that we’ve seen previously at Prada and Bottega Veneta have been replaced by rainproof Wellington boots – as seen at Versace.
Just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean that only black shoes will do. There were bursts of colour like yellow, pink, blue and lilac seen at Victoria Beckham, Fendi, and Marc Jacobs
Decorative elements were also present with many designers choosing satin to elevate their footwear, while other applied chains, embellishment, beading, sparkling buckles – we love the maxi hoops from JW Anderson – and even fringing which we saw at Toga.
Scroll down to see the pairs that are already on our wish list.
